Having misaligned teeth can be such a huge turn-off. People who already have it will support the above claim. When you interact with your colleagues, friends, and family, carrying a good smile makes a lot of difference, while having misaligned teeth can hamper your smile for sure. It can inhibit your confidence and self-esteem. If you are suffering from misaligned teeth, then we have got a piece of good news for you now. Thanks to the developments in dental technology, now you can get your teeth aligned easily, without any hassles. Yes, you heard it right! And no, we are not talking about the braces. We are referring to the clear aligners.

Clear aligners or invisible aligners are a type of orthodontics treatment that helps in correcting misaligned and crooked teeth. These are the best alternatives to the braces if you feel shy about wearing them in public. They are highly flexible and durable at the same time.

Clear aligners can be used to treat various cases, and some of them are mentioned below:

  • Crowed teeth:It is a situation when the teeth are overlapped.
  • Overbites: This situation occurs when the upper front teeth overlap on the lower front teeth.
  • Underbites:When the lower front teeth overlap on the upper front teeth.
  • Diastema:When there are gaps between your teeth.
  • Open Bites: When your front upper and lower teeth slant outward but do not touch when the mouth is shut. This is one of the rarest conditions.

Like the braces, even clear aligners come with a lot of complications, and one has to be very careful carrying them. Below mentioned are some of the tips which will help you keep them in good shape:

  • Brush and floss your teeth before wearing your aligners. This will make sure that aligners are sitting on a clean and hygienic set of teeth.
  • Always remember to remove the aligners before eating.
  • There is a misconception running around that aligners have to be cleaned with toothpaste, but it is not advised to do so in reality. Always clean your aligners with mild soap.
  • Don't forget to soak them in a retainer or denture cleaner.
  • When you remove them, don't forget to rinse them with lukewarm water. Cleaning with hot water might damage them.

So, even if you have misaligned teeth, now you can make them straight with aligners - that are pretty much like braces without wires.
